MT-1 (Melanotan-1) is a synthetic 13-amino-acid peptide that mimics the naturally occurring alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH). It primarily binds to the melanocortin-1 receptor (MC1R) to stimulate melanin production in the skin.
